Who is your favorite murder mystery author?

I am looking for some good murder mystery books. So far I haven’t seen anyone better than Agatha Christie. I’d like to know of others who may be just as good.
Sincere, polite, relevant responses only please.
I am mainly interested in authors who write fiction, although I also like true crime stories.

    dan brown isn’t really a murder mystery author, but he’s really good. if you like suspenseful mystery books, then you should read him.
