What could I wear to a murder mystery dinner?

March 13, 2009 · Filed Under Fashion & Accessories

Brandy Nicole asked:

My hubby is taking me out for my birthday to a murder mystery dinner. The attire says “Upscale Casual-Jacket and Tie optional”. What would be appropriate for a female to wear? Thanks for your help!

    There are female tuxes also. But if that is not your style, look for a conservative cocktail dress.

    a casual dress, like a more formal dress like this one;

    but with your hair down to make it a little less dressy. =]

    Like: or… you could do a more simple dress with a cute overshirt (recommend victoria secret) to make it a little more casual.

    I would wear a dress - not like a formal evening gown or anything, just a cocktail dress should be fine.

    A fancy/ casual dress (one that could be either depending on how you accessorize). Wear your hair down to give your look a casual spin. :)

    The last dinner me and Norm went to, I wore my Ticket T shirt and Jorts. For those who dont know what Jorts are, they are jean shorts. I love Jorts. They really are a classy look for this occassion. Norm has a gorilla cane. I hope you and your husband have the most wonderful, magical time anyone could ever experience.
