    sociology would tell you it might be a gang thing due to economic imbalance… sociology never fit me right as far as this stuff was concerned. psychology can explain this pretty well.

    This would require some more knowledge about the person and his/her environment. It could have been gang related, the individual could have had an increased amount of violence in his/her life growing up, he/she could have been acting out. To better answer this question, you would need more information. Plus there is no such thing as a “sociological theory.” There are many theories in sociology so you would have to narrow those theories down to one that fit with youth crime.
