Why should the government control someone’s body like that? I don’t see why anyone should have control like that over someone’s decisions. God gave us all free will. And it’s up to each individual to make the right decisions.

Reason: The sole purpose of punishment administered by the state is prevention through scaring off.
And in this particular case there is no reason to believe that the scaring off would work or be even remotely in place. (How sick is that: You make a woman keep her child by threatening her?)

Conspiring to commit an actual murder of a baby, which would be a living, breathing human being, can lead to life in jail. I can’t imagine any doctor being a party to such an act, however.

How about calling it like it is. Until a baby emerges out of the body of the mother and takes its first breath of air, it technically is NOT a baby, but a foetus (clump of cells). So in effect she is not paying a physician to “murder her baby”, but actually paying him to terminate her pregnancy, which she has the right to do.
