Is it legal to watch and video tape a murder?

March 21, 2010 · Filed Under Law & Ethics

Enigma asked:

For example the 91 year old WWII vet that was severely beated while someone recorded it. What if he died from that beating could the person recording or the onlookers be charged?

Unfortunately no. It would have been nice for someone to have stepped in but it is not against the law to do nothing. To me those 5 pussies should be broadcast on tv for being the bitches they are, and publicly humiliated. But you are not required to do anything and to be honest if you asked most police officers they will tell you not to get involved just call the police.

It depends on the status of the individual who is watching (recording), where the crime occurred, and if the person doing the recording had the ability to intervene.

    From:

“For example, prison guards who stand idly by while drug trafficking occurs within the prison may be prosecuted for this crime.”
